Indigroup client is one of the biggest retailers of its segment in Lithuania – Kosmelita. The company operates one of the largest cosmetics and perfumery retail chains in Lithuania – EUROKOS. It unites a team of more than 800 employees, operates a network of 120 stores, e-commerce and B2B sales channels. In 2019, EUROKOS reached a turnover of 30 million euros and in 2020 the company plans further expansion of the network of managed stores.

One of the company’s key competitive advantages is an exceptional range of beauty products. In order to further develop and strengthen this advantage, the company invites a Head of Commerce Department to its team. We’re looking for a highly experienced CCO, who will lead a team of category managers. The role of Head of Commerce will be responsible for the general purchasing conditions, negotiations with VIP suppliers, assortment selection strategy, pricing policy management and a smooth collaboration with marketing, retail and category analytics departments.

Some facts:

  • EUROKOS represents 150 cosmetics suppliers on exclusive distribution (in total EUROKOS works with more than 300 regular suppliers).
  • The most popular represented brands are MERCEDES BENZ, VINCE CAMOUTO, HS MILANO, KIN, CLINIANS, KISS, PHYSICIANS FORMULA and etc.
  • Every year EUROKOS launches around 4000 – 5000 SKUs.
  • Mostly developed categories are Make Up, Perfumery and Hair Care.
  • Most of business partners are located in UK, Germany, France, Italy, Poland and etc.

The team:

As the next Head of Commerce Department, you will be the leader of a team of 11 members (category managers) who are responsible for negotiations, orders management, new suppliers sourcing, assortment selection, supplier’s relations management and maintenance, price positioning, participating in the exhibitions worldwide.

There are also retail analytics, marketing and sales departments in the company that will work together with you. We’re looking for a leader of commerce department, whose responsibilities will include:

  • Building relationships with cosmetics suppliers in order to receive competitive pricing and quality products.
  • Monitoring and management of supplier sales results and reviewing financial supply conditions.
  • Planning and controlling department strategic and operational activities.
  • Team leadership by maximizing the engagement.
  • Negotiation strategy creation and implementation by coordinating teams’ job in reaching common goals.
  • Product assortment strategy management.
  • Pricing policy development.
  • New product entry strategy management.
  • Reviewal of KPI’s, long and short term goals of the team.
  • Providing strategic control of optimum stocks of the goods.
  • Imported and distributed brands commercial strategy development.

Requirements

  • A proven track record in managerial positions related to retail or wholesale sector.
  • Successful experience in FMCG or related product categories: category management, data analysis or customer development roles in retail operations environment.
  • Experience in managing a team of highly skilled professionals and ability to take a strong leadership in strategy development.
  • Ability to motivate a team by showing the best practices of business development processes.
  • Experience in setting a buying/ purchasing strategy for a big number of SKUs.
  • Experience in B2B negotiations with international suppliers.
  • Experience in new product launch process management and pricing policy development.
  • Energy and enthusiasm for taking a lead role in the department of business development and purchasing.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

  • Fluent in Russian.
  • Previous experience in leading cosmetics or similar product categories.
