 LEAN, IPC 610. Esemda is always in search for new flexible production techniques and the latest trends in the electronics industry. That is why it has moved to a completely new factory in 2019 in order to meet all the highest quality standards of worldwide clients.

Esemda currently produces more than 1,1 million products yearly and ships them to 252 clients worldwide. The growth revenue of the company is more than 10 million EUR.

We’re currently looking for an experienced Production Department Manager, who will lead the team and shape the manufacturing processes using the best tools and methodologies with a lead by example approach.

The team

The Production Department Manager will be responsible for the team of more than 50 specialists



We are looking for a Production Department Manager who will own the entire production process and lead the production organization to achieve safety, people development, quality, delivery and productivity goals and objectives. The person will lead and motivate his/ her team to develop innovative solutions, implement LEAN concepts, improve quality and optimize production.

The Production Department Manager will align himself/herself and subordinates with the company objectives and values by leading the manufacturing functions at the Esemda factory.

The team:

The Production Department Manager will be responsible for the team of more than 50 specialists including Chief Technologist with the team, SMT Manager with 20 SMT specialists, PTH Manager with 30 PTH specialists and fellow production department specialists in other smaller teams. There will also be a Technical Manager, Quality Manager and Supply Chain Manager working in collaboration with the Production Department Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage, lead and motivate a multi-skilled team of technologists and production line specialists in an empowered team-based environment, ensuring full engagement of team members.
  • Ensure optimum performance, assets utilization, manage budget, ultimately increasing productivity and delivering competitive cost.
  • Utilize LEAN tools to measure and improve the departments Key Business Drivers (i.e. VSM, SMED, 5s, TPM, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Develop departmental Business Plan and execute daily and weekly plans to meet all commitments and ensure highest quality requirements.
  • Ensure daily operations are carried out in compliance with all company requirements, appropriate safety, quality and environmental standards. Lead by example.
  • Hire talents and ensure employee development and motivation (with a help from HR)
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts – lead Improvement projects, driving a continuous improvement culture based on evidence-based performance.
  • Meet new product introduction objectives (quality, cost, timing).
  • Coordinate production workflow, plan and prioritize operations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Build sustainable team capability, provide continuous coaching, adapt flexible organizational structure, deploy performance enhancement strategies, train and support all production associates dealing with the various in-house, new technologies and emerging business needs.
  • Continuously update and maximize resources capacities, oversee the demand vs capacity (short, medium & long terms). Decide the optimal operational pattern to meet the customers demand.
  • Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

  • 6 years of experience in the manufacturing industry with a minimum of 3 years in a senior management position, preferably with proven working experience as a production/plant manager/ operations manager in the electronics or related industry.
  • University degree in business management, mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in people management in a people focused and team based environment.
  • Solid-decision making skills.
  • Familiarity with LEAN practices and processes i.e. 5S / problem solving / process improvement / daily management/ Takt time / one piece flow / standard work etc.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities through robust and effective root cause analysis and implementation of preventative and corrective actions.
  • Ability to lead change and challenge the status quo in an agile environment.
  • Excellent relationship building, influencing and coaching skills and ability to build trust.
  • Passion for continuous improvement.
  • The ability to communicate clearly both up and down the organisation.
  • Fluent English.
