Everyone probably dreams of working in a job that gives them nothing but pleasure. No stress, no annoying co-workers, a pleasant boss – after all, this is the ideal job, which everyone can add to their own description. The dream job is discussed from time to time, but what about the reality? Is it possible to be completely satisfied doing the same job day in, day out and forget about organised recruitment?

A sign of equality between a dream job and lots of money?

What is a dream job, probably no one could answer. It is very individual, but it has already been established that a very high proportion of people tend to associate a great job with minimal responsibility and, of course, a high salary. It would seem logical that, with virtually nothing to do and a solid salary, one would call such a job ideal. However, there has been more and more talk lately that the dream job is about enjoying the work and then the money.

Many of today’s young people entering the labour market after graduating from university are looking for their first jobs, and in order to prove that they are responsible and hard-working, they are motivated to take on new projects, take part in a variety of refresher training courses and seminars, and demonstrate through their work habits that they are committed to their own priorities: dynamic work, motivation and a good salary that comes with the pleasure of working.

A hobby turned into a job

While some argue that there is no better situation than earning money from something you really like, in other words, a hobby, there are many critics of this idea. They believe that it is worth distinguishing between work and a hobby, because doing only what is fun and pleasurable every day eventually becomes boring and routine. A hobby should always remain a hobby. Of course, this is something that each person is likely to evaluate and choose for themselves. Be that as it may, once you have chosen to make money from your hobby, you need to make a serious search for the necessary materials, suppliers, partners, employees, etc., otherwise you may have your first failures and the activity will forever lose the label of a dream job, as it will be associated only with constant worries every time.

Jobs based on personality

We are all different: one of us enjoys counting, the other hates diplomacy and getting up early in the morning. Depending on a person’s personality type – their hobbies, character, creativity and other abilities – there may be a job that suits and appeals to each individual. This rather sounding phrase actually hides the essence of the dream job search: an employee will only be satisfied with a job if he or she knows that his or her lifestyle, character traits or values are aligned with the company’s vision, mission, goals and internal environment.

For some, this is easy to appreciate and makes their job search much easier, while for others, it is far from the first time. Special tests can help make things easier, more specifically the personality test. Once your personality type has been determined, it assesses the key factors that often become the starting point for a person’s assessment of themselves as an employee.

Thus, different people’s assessments of what is normal, what is good work and what is ideal work can be interpreted in completely different ways. And there is nothing wrong with that. On the contrary: the more individual the consideration and search for a particular job or job type, the more narrow the job search becomes for the individual. In this way, a person’s career as a highly successful worker is naturally enhanced.

Dream job - reality or fiction? - Indigroup

<meta name="description" content="Is your dream job within reach?
