The days when an entrepreneur only cared about the local market are gone. Now their aim is to become at least partly known and marketable abroad. Borders between countries seem to have disappeared, and professionals in various fields now migrate from one country to another for work. Lithuania is increasingly attracting skilled workers from foreign countries. According to recruitment experts, Lithuanian companies do not need to be afraid of such changes in the labour market; on the contrary, they should rush to take advantage of the knowledge and talent of good employees coming from abroad.<\/p>\n
It is slightly more difficult for professionals from neighbouring or other countries to get a job in Lithuania than it is for someone living here. This is due to various legal rulings and laws. However, very often, especially in the search for top managers, employers decide to launch competitions for which more than just Lithuanians can apply. It is true that foreigners often ask for a higher salary than that of a local professional at the same level, or for certain special conditions.
