We are seeking an Engineering Manager / Team Lead (.NET) to lead a team building and maintaining our large-scale Point of Sale (POS) platform for pharmacies in Baltics.
You will drive delivery and technical excellence across a mixed ecosystem: .NET/.NET Core services and a wide range of integrations (SOAP/REST) while leading engineers, aligning with stakeholders, and continuously modernizing a mission-critical domain.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead a team delivering features and improvements for POS, balancing new development with system stability.
- Own and drive the technical roadmap: refactoring, performance optimization, tech debt reduction, and modernization initiatives.
- Establish and uphold engineering practices: architecture principles, code reviews, testing strategy, and maintainability standards.
- Grow the team through mentoring, pair programming, and structured knowledge sharing.
- Conduct regular 1-on-1s, and support engineers’ growth and performance.
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate needs into executable plans, manage expectations, and communicate trade-offs.
- Improve delivery flow and operational readiness (release discipline, incident follow-up, and continuous improvement).
We are looking for a colleague who has:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in engineering management / team lead roles.
- Either strong experience with C# .NET / .NET Core, or strong expertise in other languages (Java, Python, Go, PHP, etc.) with a willingness to understand .NET – both are equally valued.
- Experience with SOAP and REST integrations and designing/operating integration-heavy systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL or another RDBMS, including troubleshooting and performance considerations.
- Working knowledge of unit testing and test automation, and the ability to raise the quality bar through practices and tooling.
- Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and ownership of outcomes.
It would be an advantage if you have:
- Experience working with or modernizing retail/POS systems (incl. hardware/peripheral integrations).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum ways of working and facilitating healthy team rituals.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and improving deployment/release reliability.
- Web UI knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Company offers:
- Opportunity to grow and develop both within and outside your role – it’s up to you to make the most of it.
- Benefit package, including private health insurance, critical illness and accident coverage, additional leave days, travel insurance, free parking, and financial support in case of unfortunate events.
- Training budget for ongoing professional development.
- Performance-based bonus.
- Flexible working hours.
- Career growth opportunities within the Company and the Group.
- A salary of 5,000–7,200 EUR or more (gross), depending on your competencies and experience, we are open to discussing a higher salary.
