Innovative job interviews are gaining popularity in Lithuania: employers try new methods

Karolis Blaževičius, partner at recruitment company Indigroup, says that innovative job interviews are still quite rare, but a rapidly growing phenomenon in Lithuania. “Alternative methods are needed where a different approach to the employee and work culture is necessary, for example, it is popular in companies in the IT sector, where there is a lot of competition for employees.”

“In order to make effective use of the workplace trial method, it is necessary to prepare for it properly. First of all, you need a clear selection strategy. It is also necessary to prepare the existing team well, familiarise them with the selection process, explain how their work will be different in the presence of the candidate, how long the candidate will be there, what are the responsibilities of the employees, the objectives, the rules of conduct with the candidate, etc. It is important that everyone knows what they have to do during that time. This will help to avoid situations where the candidate is left out or tensions start to arise in the team”, says Karolis Blaževičius.
