We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to enable and empower work for 60 different IT specialists in the Engineering division.
Your place in the organization:
In the LD Engineering department, the DevOps role is highly valued, therefore it reports directly to the Head of Engineering. The DevOps position works closely with application, security, and infrastructure architects.
Join the transition phase
We’re carefully transitioning from on-prem to the cloud, so cloud experience will be helpful for our first steps. We are currently using a local provider’s public cloud services, but in the future we plan to migrate some of our infrastructure to one of the cloud hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Selection process:
We focus on conversations rather than tasks, so our selection process is divided into two stages:
1. Interview with the hiring manager and the architect (1 hour).
The interview is split into 30 minutes for cultural fit and 30 minutes for the technical discussion.
2. Interview with potential future colleagues.
Senior developers participate in this stage. The goal is to get acquainted with the development team and understand their expectations, methodologies, and tools.
In this role you will:
- CI/CD Pipelines: Develop, optimize, and maintain reusable GitLab CI/CD pipeline components to automate the deployment process, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of applications.
- Containerization: Implement and support containerization solution for LD ecosystem (tools TBD). Manage and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes. Implement best practices for cluster management, security, and monitoring. Implement strategies to ensure high availability and performance.
- Automation: Develop automation scripts and tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
- Monitoring and Logging: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability and performance of the infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, architects’ team and infrastructure team to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Public cloud (in the future): Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure using best practices for security, cost-efficiency and performance.
What you need to succeed:
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.
- Understanding of networking concepts, and Linux system administration.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Logstash etc.
- Familiarity with Docker or Podman and container orchestration tools.
- Proficient in creating and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding security best practices.
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Apply strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues within the Kubernetes environment and public cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operations.

- Public cloud experience, which will be essential for our journey from on-prem to a hybrid or fully cloud-based environment later.
