Head of Business Analysis Team

Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Head of Business Analysis to lead our Business Analysis team and drive data-informed decision-making across the organisation from personalised shopping experiences to optimised supply chains. This role is pivotal in shaping our analytical capabilities, optimising business performance, and supporting cross-functional initiatives with actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and data analysts, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective workload distribution
• Work closely with IT department to develop resources for AI analytics to enhance data analysis and automate insights generation
• Oversee data analysis projects related to customer behaviour, sales, marketing, supply chain, and more
• Collaborate with senior leadership, IT, finance, and other departments to identify and address business needs
• Develop and implement data analysis strategies, methodologies, and best practices
• Ensure the use of modern BI tools and techniques to support decision-making
• Prepare and present complex data in a clear, persuasive manner and strategic recommendations to senior management
• Maintain data quality, security, and compliance with company policies
• Manage project documentation, budgeting, and planning processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in advanced data analytics, ideally within a retail, FMCG, e-commerce or supplier environment
• 2+ years of experience in team lead role
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, IT, Data Science, or a related field
• Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), SQL, and Excel
• Knowledge of Python or R
• Experience in applying AI data analysis and modeling tools (e.g.; Qlik, Polymer, Databricks, Sisense or other) would be considered as an advantage
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Understanding of data governance and GDPR compliance
• Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills – both verbal and written
• Fluent in English
