Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Head of Business Analysis to lead our Business Analysis team and drive data-informed decision-making across the organisation from personalised shopping experiences to optimised supply chains. This role is pivotal in shaping our analytical capabilities, optimising business performance, and supporting cross-functional initiatives with actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and data analysts, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective workload distribution
- Work closely with IT department to develop resources for AI analytics to enhance data analysis and automate insights generation
- Oversee data analysis projects related to customer behaviour, sales, marketing, supply chain, and more
- Collaborate with senior leadership, IT, finance, and other departments to identify and address business needs
- Develop and implement data analysis strategies, methodologies, and best practices
- Ensure the use of modern BI tools and techniques to support decision-making
- Prepare and present complex data in a clear, persuasive manner and strategic recommendations to senior management
- Maintain data quality, security, and compliance with company policies
- Manage project documentation, budgeting, and planning processes
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in advanced data analytics, ideally within a retail, FMCG, e-commerce or supplier environment
- 2+ years of experience in team lead role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, IT, Data Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), SQL, and Excel
- Knowledge of Python or R
- Experience in applying AI data analysis and modeling tools (e.g.; Qlik, Polymer, Databricks, Sisense or other) would be considered as an advantage
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Understanding of data governance and GDPR compliance
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills – both verbal and written
- Fluent in English
