Senior PHP Developer

You‘ll be joining the IT Team of Verslo žinios, which consists of 10 Developers, Web Designer and the CTO. You will as Senior Level PHP Developer in a product-based environment with a very little legacy support and high focus on new product/ feature development.

Job description:

• Take part and make decisions regarding new products and features for Verso Žinios, design, create and maintain new products from the very beginning.
• Play a key role in the development of IT products internationally.
• Carry out updates and new features for the current VZ products: vz.lt, rekvizitai.lt, infolex.lt, hrasistentas.lt and internal company’s systems running on PHP (Laravel).
• Work closely with fellow developers within the IT team of VZ, exchange ideas, new technologies, tools and etc.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and Laravel framework updates to continuously improve applications while writing clean, testable and well thought out code.
• Demonstrate senior level knowledge when less experienced colleagues need a technical advice.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of PHP experience.
• The ability to build trust by proposing new technologies and work methodologies (seniors in our team have the opportunity to contribute to solutions not only with the code they write).
• Senior level experience with Laravel or Symfony (Laravel is preferred), SQL database.
• Understanding the principles of OOP, SOLID.
• Ability to be creative while being analytical.

Nice to have skills:

• Knowledge of Nginx, Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with GIT.
• Unix CLI experience.
• Docker, docker-compose.
• VueJS (or any other FE framework experience would be a nice to have)
• Experience with big-data projects.
• API integrations with 3rd party services.
